The Emona Telecoms-Trainer 101 (ETT-101), also known as "BiSKIT" (Building Student Knowledge In Technology), is a low-cost, single-board trainer designed for large student cohorts in introductory university and technical college telecommunications courses. Completely self-contained within a compact, low-profile case powered by a standard 12V DC plug-pack, it requires no dedicated test bench. Students build experiments at the block diagram level using stackable patch cords, directly mirroring textbook block diagrams and making the relationship between theory and practice immediately visible. The PC-enabled variant (ETT-101C) adds a fully functional built-in instrument suite accessible via USB, including oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, and waveform generator. Over 42 modern communications topics are covered, from basic analog and digital modulation to advanced topics such as DSSS Spread Spectrum, QPSK, QAM, Software Defined Radio, Eye Diagrams, and Fiber Optics.
